The Story of Indah Foods
Our partner, Indah Foods started as an art café. Its story began with Trudy, a woman who created a café with a vision of creating a space for women to gather and create wonderful art. It was also a place to share stories with judgement-free ears.
What began as a small, one-room art gallery café in Kuching, Sarawak, grew into Indah House Kuching, a woman-owned and woman-led social enterprise.
Today, Indah House trains Sarawakian women for careers in hospitality, keeping local recipes alive, and giving local artists a wall to hang their work on.
Through Indah Foods, these flavours of Sarawak can now travel beyond Kuching. We are proud to bring their products to the UK, giving you the opportunity to discover authentic Sarawakian and Southeast Asian flavours while learning about the people and stories behind the food.
